Residential service

Rodent Control in Woodland Hills, CA

Rodent control here is a trap setting program, not a single visit. Choose the one week program, three visits, or the one month program, five visits, and we will set traps, map entry points, and clear catches every time we are on site. We also quote proofing the exact holes. Attic cleanup and sanitizing is a separate job, quoted after we see the attic. Rats are not part of regular service. Our trapping program is quoted on its own and covers two areas, like the attic and the sub area or the interior and the sub area, and it is three visits: we set the traps, come back about four days later to check them, and again about four days after that to check and pull them. We come to Woodland Hills from our one office in Reseda, about 12 minutes away, on a weekly route.

On the route

From Reseda to Woodland Hills

About 12 minutes from our office at Sherman Way and Corbin. Woodland Hills is on our route every week, so a rats and mice call gets scheduled with the trucks already headed your way.

Summer heat in Woodland Hills regularly runs hotter than the coastal parts of the county, and by July that heat pushes ants indoors hunting for water around any sink, pet bowl, or leaking hose bib they can find. We treat the perimeter early in the season for customers who want to get ahead of it rather than chase trails once they have already reached the kitchen counter.

What's included

Every visit covers

  • Trapping program covering two areas, such as the attic and the sub area
  • Three visits total, the set up plus two checks about four days apart
  • Property inspection to identify entry points and level of activity
  • Choice of a one week program, three visits, or a one month program, five visits
  • Trap setting in attics, crawlspaces, garages and along the exterior
  • Entry point mapping with a written estimate for proofing
  • Removal of catches at every scheduled visit
  • Proofing, sealing the exact holes we mapped, not a general guess
Signs you need it

What homeowners notice first

  • Droppings in the attic, garage or under the sink
  • Scratching or scurrying sounds in the walls or ceiling at night
  • Chew marks on food packaging, wiring or wood trim
  • A greasy rub mark along a baseboard or beam
  • A pet suddenly fixated on one wall or cabinet
  • A stale, musky smell in an attic or crawlspace
  • Small entry holes around the roofline, vents or garage door
How it works here

Three steps, no mystery spray

The same method on every rats and mice job since 2005, with a 30 day guarantee on the end of it.

  1. 101

    Inspect and map

We walk the attic, crawlspace, garage and exterior to find entry points and gauge how much activity is actually happening before we set a single trap.

  2. 202

    Trap and clear

Across the one week or one month program we set traps, check them on every visit, and remove catches so the problem does not sit and smell in a wall or attic.

  3. 303

    Seal the holes

We quote sealing the exact holes we mapped. If droppings have piled up in the attic, cleanup and sanitizing is a separate quote, based on what we see up there.

Safe for your family

What we use, and where

Traps are the main tool for general rodent work, checked and cleared on every scheduled visit so nothing sits decomposing in a wall. Never handle droppings barehanded, they can carry disease. Attic cleanup and sanitizing is a separate job we quote after seeing the attic. Where bait is called for we use it in locked, tamper resistant stations away from kids and pets.

Which plan

Most rodent jobs start with the one week program, three visits, and step up to the one month program if activity is heavier than expected. "Trapping without proofing the holes just invites the next one in," says Sam Karbelnig, owner.

What about owls?

Barn owls work the night shift

Sam's daughter took this one: a barn owl on a wire with a fresh catch in its beak. Owls hunt rats and mice all night and they are great to have around, but they can't get to the ones living in your attic or sub area. Those take trapping and sealing the holes they use to get in.

This review is long overdue. Facility is simply the best local company out there. It took me years to find a reliable, effective and cost efficient company that was easy to deal with any time I needed something extra. Sam, the owner, cares so much about all his clients and makes sure that each is taken care of. Don't look any further for your next pest control company.

They helped us with a protracted roach problem. The owner took the time to talk through the issue with us for a long time. He was the only company that said we didn't need to get on a multi year contract. They ended up coming three times and I haven't seen new roaches for months. Thank you for your excellent customer service and thoroughness.

Facility Pest Control responded to me quickly, gave me an estimate, and offered a fair price. The technician who came out was great to work with, communicated what he would be doing, and accommodated our requests to focus on certain problem areas. The spraying so far seems very effective.

Questions

Rats and mice questions, answered

Sam Karbelnig
Reviewed by Sam Karbelnig, owner, treating Valley homes since 2005. Last updated October 2026.
What does rodent control actually include?

It includes an inspection, trap setting through either a one week program (three visits) or a one month program (five visits), entry point mapping, and removal of catches at every visit. We also quote proofing the exact holes we find. Attic cleanup and sanitizing is not part of the program, it is a separate job we quote after we see the attic.

How do I know if I need professional rodent control?

Droppings in the attic or under the sink, scratching in the walls at night, chew marks on wiring or packaging, and small holes around the roofline or garage door are all signs. Rodents multiply fast, so it is worth calling as soon as you notice activity.

What is the difference between the one week and one month programs?

The one week program runs three visits over about a week, the one month program runs five visits over about a month. More visits mean more chances to catch a heavier or more established population, and we will recommend which one fits what we find during inspection.

Why do I need proofing if you already trapped the rodents?

Trapping clears what is already inside, but the holes that let them in are still open. We map the exact entry points during service and give you a written estimate to seal them, since that is what actually keeps the next rodent out.

What happens to the droppings in my attic?

Droppings can carry disease, so we do not recommend handling them yourself. We offer attic cleanup and sanitizing as its own job, and we quote it after we see the attic, because a small attic and a big one are very different jobs.

Are your rodent control methods safe for my family and pets?

Yes. Traps are checked and cleared on every visit, and any bait we use goes into locked, tamper resistant stations placed away from where kids and pets can reach them. We will walk you through exactly what was placed and where.

Why should I choose Facility Pest Control for rodent control?

We have run trap setting programs in the Valley since 2005 and we map entry points instead of just setting traps and hoping. You get a written proofing estimate, catches removed on every visit, and a separate quote for attic cleanup if droppings have piled up.

How much does rat trapping cost?

The trapping program is quoted on its own and covers two areas, such as the attic and the sub area or the interior and the sub area. That is three visits: we set the traps, check them about four days later, and check and pull them about four days after that. Rats are not part of regular service, they are quoted as their own job.
