Are the scorpions in the San Fernando Valley dangerous?

When are scorpions most active in the Valley?
Late spring through early fall. They start showing up in April and May, build through the summer, and August is the busiest month on our routes. Scorpions hunt at night, so that is when most people find them.

They follow the insects they eat and look for cool, sheltered spots during the heat, usually coming in through gaps under doors, garage door seals and openings along the foundation. Treating the perimeter and sealing those gaps is what stops it.
